Renewal Fees
Annual renewal fee due June
30th of each year is $75.
To renew an expired certificate within 12 months
from the renewal date is $150.
To renew an expired certificate after 12 months
from the renewal date is $250.
WV participates in the NCARB ARE
Direct Registration Program:
ARE Candidates that would like to
have WV be their initial state of registration will
continue with NCARB taking care of their ARE Exam eligibility
and testing. When they have completed the ARE Exam NCARB
will notify them they are ready to apply for initial
registration in WV. WV will be mailed a copy of their
letter from NCARB and then NCARB will forward their
Green Cover to WV.
The Candidate will be notified by
the WV State Board of Architects as to their next step
for initial registration in WV. If they have questions
they contact the board office by phone or email from
the contact information on the web site.
